The LMP returns with another festival concert, this time from last years moe.down. The lineup for moe.down 8 was stellar and included the up and coming singer/songwriter Amos Lee. I’m not as familiar with his music as some of the other bands that I have featured so I’m going to keep this intro fairly short. I would describe his music as a hybrid of folk and soul with Norah Jones coming to mind with a few of his songs.
The live performance of his songs came across very well and it sounded like the crowd was digging it even if the style of music different from that of the festival’s founding fathers. The band also seemed to have a lot of fun, even pulling a Rick Roll on the crowd with a medley including Rick Astley’s 80s pop hit. Please enjoy Amos Lee and company from their September 02, 2007 performance in Turin, New York.
